PROPERTY SALE.

The following is the conclusion of the sale by Messrs H. Matson and Co., the commeccament of which was given in onr Saturday’s issue : A section of land and 6-roomed house in Southbridge, in the occupation of Dr, Malone, were sold for .£3OO. At the sale of Scott at on, the bidding was very animated The property belonged to Messrs Tomes Bros. ; streets to be formed (not metalled) within a few weeks. Lots 1 to 9 inclusive and lots 5S and 56 have frontage on Papanui road. The entire block, comprising 72 lots, was quitted, and at the following prices:—Lot 1, .£190; lot 9. £165; lot 55, £150; 10t56,£140; lot 2. £130; lot 3, £130; lota 45, 46, 47, and 48, £I3J each ; lots 10 and 11, £llO each ; lots 16. 17, and 18, £lO5 each ; lot 12, £9O; lots 19 and 20, £BS each; lota 32 and 33, £BS each; lots 21, 22, and 23, £BO each; lets 13, 14. and 15, £BO each; lots 31, 34, 35, and 36, £75 10s each ; lots 57 and 58, £75 each ; lot 59, £7l ; lots 60 and 61, £7O each; lota 62 and 63, £65 each ; lot 50, £66 ; lots 37, 41, 54, 28, 29, 30, 51, 52, and 53, £6l each ; lot 42, £65 ; lots 21 and 2 , £66 each; lot 38, £OS ; lots 39 and 40, £65 10s each ; lots 25 and 26, £6' each ; lots 46. 47, 48, 49, 43, 44 and 45, £54 each; lots 61, 65, 69 70, 71 and 72, £52 each; lots 66, 67 and 63. £92 each. The total proceeds of the sale of m amounted to £5916, being an average, approximately, of £3lO an acre; or, the 72 secuons averaging £B2 Is lid each, and the 8 sect ona fronting on Papanui road averaging £551 12s per acre. The aggregate proceeds of the day’s sale amounted to £12,456.
