PROPERTY SALE.
There was a good attendance at Messrs TT. Matson and Co.’s sale rooms this afternoon, when part of rural section 276, Soottatown, on the Papanui road, part of Kiver's paddock, in Manchester street, and other properties, wore submitted with the following results : Mr John Wills’ farm of 240 acres, near Lincoln, was first submitted. This property is subject to a mortgage of £SOOO. The first bid was £2O an acre, and was sold at £26 an acre, to Mr Smith. Five plots of laud in Kiver’s paddock, Manchester street, Christchurch, were next offered, being part of T. S. 106, each 40ft frontage, by 132 ft depth, started at £25 a foot, but passed in at £4B per foot. A section in Tuam street, between Green’s buildings and the Wellington Hotel, 66ft frontage by 121 ft in depth, with right-of-way at back, was passed in at £47 per foot. The sale wss still proceeding when we went to press.
