FATAL FIRE AT PREBBLETON.
It is reported that tt about six o’clock last evening a three-roomed cottage at Piebbleton was burned down. Tha oot’age was occupied hy a woman and three children named Bosrie. It appears that the mother hud gone out, taking with her one of the children. The fire broke out shortly afterwards, and one of the children, a little boy aged five, who had been left in the house, made hie escape out of the flames, although he was considerably singed about the head in his passage. After the fire had burnt out the remains of the other child, a little girl three or four years old, were found on the ruins of what had been a bedstead. The fact of hor being in the burning house does not appear to have been known until too late, by the bystanders. The remains were taken to the Prebbloton Hotel, whereinquost willbe held to-morrow afternoon.
