[beuteb’s telegrams.] LONDON, May 8. The “ Times,” in a leading article to-day on the subject of the assassination of Lord Cavendish and Mr Burke, takes occasion to denounce the Irish policy of the Government in strong terms. It has transpired that Mr Gladstone has agreed to accept the amendment which has been proposed on the motion for the adoption of cloture. The amendment provides that cloture shall not bo applied unless supported by two-thirds of a majority of the House.
