[reuter’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, May 6. Arrived this morning—Rotorua, from the Bluff. SYDNEY, May 6. Archibald Forbes was entertained at a banquet this evening by the members of the Athenaeum Club. The affair passed off most successfully. A trotting match between Kelso’s Now Chum aud Mr Gannon’s Paddy, for £IOOO, took place to-day on the Randwick racecourse, resulting in an easy victory for New Chum. HOBART, May 6. The Tasmanian Parliament has been dissolved.
