FOOTBALL.
EAST CHBISTOHUBOH FOOTBALL CLUB.
Saturday was rather warm for football, and being mail day, only a moderate turn up was the result. The match arranged was North v South of Armagh street, and, as it turned out, each side had fourteen men. In the first spell there was nothing scored, although there were some well fought scrimmages, and the second spell resulted the same as the first. Iu the third spell DeOastro made a good run in, and obtained a try, no goal being kicked. The ball having been put in play again, Fuller, who had been making good runs throughout, collared the ball from behind the scrimmage, and ran in and obtained try No. 2; again no goal being kicked. In the fourth and final spell it was evident the gold and black meant to make up for lost time. W. Atack, who is showing up well this season, took the ball well through the scrum, and touched it down. Kesteven soon after obtained another from a good run in, no goal being kicked. A most enjoyable game ended in a draw—two tries each. In addition to the above-named players, we must mention Wright, J. Fuller, Shand, Gilohriat, Woledge, Boss, and also several other new men whose names could not bo obtained.
