SYDNEY, April 21 The Recent Libel Case-
Messrs Haynes and Archibald, defendant, in the libel case Moore v the proprietors of the "Bnllotin," and who were imprisoned on tho 6th March for the nonsatisfaction of a writ for over £6OO costs in a suit, were to-day released from gaol, the money having been guaranteed in payment of costs. CommercialHennessy's brandy, case, 33s 9d in bulk; quarter, 13s; Patna rice, per ton, £l3 10s; Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £35; New Zealand wheat, per bushel, 6s 6d ,- New Zealand oats, 3s 9d ; maize, 4a 6d; tobacco, Raven's twist, per lb, Is 6£d; candles, D.R.J.S., D.R.0.5., 7id. Arrived, this morning, the Orient Com. pany'a steamship Cotopaxi, from Plymouth (March 9th).
Wheat Quotations.
Wheat is unchanged at 6a to 6s 3d; town flour, per ton, is quoted at £l4; country brands, £l3 to £l3 ss.
The Insurance Frauds
The trial of Messrs Barker and Forsyth and Dr. Horton for conspiring to defraud the Australian Mutual Provident Society is still proceeding.
