Wednesday, April 12, [Before Hia Honor Judge Ward.J The Court sat at 11 o’clock, LONG V ADAMS. In this case Mr Harper, for the defendant, applied for an adjournment for a month. The plaintiff consented. Adjournment granted. ADOPTED CHILDRENS’ ACT. Mr Izard made an application under this Act, which'was granted. TBUSTHE OS' B H. WILLIAMS V A. DALLAS. Mr Harper, for tho plaintiff, said this case stood over from last Court day, having been adjourned owing to tho absence of a witness. It had been found impossible to obtain the attendance of the witness, and he would now be willing to accept a nonsuit. Mr MoConnel, who appeared for the de* fendant. applied for costs. Nonsuit granted with costs. THE QUEEN T TALBOT AND M'CLATCHIB. Mr Nalder, for the defendants, applied for an adjournment for a month and for leave to plead, Mr Joynt, for the plaintiff, consented to tho adjournment. Application granted on payment of costs of tho day. WABIN V HAY BBOS. There was no appearance, and the case was struck out. BOSBWABNE V WILLIAMS. lu this case there was no appearance of the parties, M'HAFFIB V FBASER. This case was adjourned until next Court day on the application of the plaintiff. DUGGAN T. THE QUEEN. Mr Harper applied for an adjournment for a mouth, which was granted, Mr Joynt for the defendant consenting. KTNTON AND PRICE V. A. LANDEBGAN. Mr Holmes for tho plaintiffs, and Mr Joynt for the defendant. This was an action to recover £l6B 12a under acoutrootfor building a house. The defence was that the work was not properly performed. The case was partly heard on a previous Court day, when evidence was led for the plaintiffs, and it was adjourned for the attendance of a witness who was required by the defendant to give evidence as an expert. Jessie Landergan, wife of the defendant, was examined at length by Mr Joynt. The witness deposed that she complained on several occasions to tho plaintiffs that the woik was not being properly done, and gave evidence as to matters of detail.
