After a lot of fiddling and several breaks away, the lot at last got off, Welcome Jack having all the worjt of the start. Turquoise leading, followed by Vanguard, the remainder all of a duster. Turquoise still led round the turn, and then Vanguard went up to the leader. On coming into the straight Siesta came up on the inside, and gradually improved her position until reaching the rails when .he cume with a rush, and won easily by half a length. Leonora two lengths off third. Time—lmin. 6>ecs. The Easter Handicap, a sweepstakes of 5 sova each, with ICD aovj added, for three-year-olds and upwards, the second horso to aave hia stake. One mile.
