(Per B.s. Rotorua, via Auckland.) LONDON, March 28. A diabolical outrage is reported at Badlinasloe, Ireland. A dynamite shell was thrown into the house of Lord Oranbrook’s agent, and exploded, doing considerable damage to the premises. The occupants escaped injury. A prize fight took place in a chapel at Dunbar, in Scotland. The pugilists were disturbed by the appearance of the police, and eight person* were arrested. The Colonial Union to meet on 7th June for the discussion of various matters affecting the colonial empire, is only a debating society, its members being chiefly composed of persons interested in the fair trade movement. Hon. Saul Samuels snd Sir Arthur Blyth, the Agents-General of New South Wales and South Australia respectively, have declined to tale part in the conference, but while being undesirous of joining in tho movement, they have had several interviews with Earl Kimberley in regard to colonial matter*. Hiii companions were arrested, and were found in posaofsion of a groat quantity of stores and ammunition, as well as important documents. Errington, who was charged by the British Government with a mission to Rome, is now on his return from that city. A number of colonials have made a handsome presentation in plate to Alderman W. McArthur in recognition of his services as Lord Mayor last year. March 27. Two teamen of H.M S. Northumberland have been sentenced to seven and five yean respectively for attempting to drown a midshipman on board that vessel in the neighborhood of Cagliari. Tho police authorities of St. Petersburg suspect the existence of a mir e underneath the railway li-e from St. Petersburg to Moscow at a spot over which tho Czar was likely to travel. The supposed plot is attributed to Nihilists, and engineer officials are now engaged in endeavouring to discover the locality of the mine. A destructive fire has occurred at Richmond, Virginia, by which great loss of property has been caused, to the extent of 500,000 dole.

The failures are announced of Joshua Meyer, China merchant, for £IO,OOO, and of Meters Thorns and Oxley, of London and Liverpool, with liabilities of £75,000.
