THE EXHIBITION.

The arrangements for placing the fountain just inside the principal entrance are nearly completed. Tho concert room gallery is being rapidly proceeded with, and seeing that the pillars are 6x6 and the beams 12 x 4, it will be of a substantial character, as indeed is the whole building, every post in which is embedded in concrete. The different appearance of the building to-day, as compared with its appearance of yesterday, is very marked. 'Exhibits are being rapidly unpacked and placed in their respective bays, and, thanks to the good management of the promoters, without the confusion that is entailed by lack of system. Tho number of those taking part with tho Hibernian Catholic Benefit Society in the procession is likely to be considerably augmented, many members in the districts outside Christchurch having intimated their intention of taking part. In consequence of the formation of a new branch in Christchurch and other recent accessions to the order, it has been found necessary to provide additional regalia, a large consignment of which has been specially manufactured in Melbourne, and t bas just come to hand. The design of the new regalia differs but slightly from that hitherto used by members of the order in this colony. The sash is of emerald green silk, six inches wide, each end having a gold fringing four inobet deep. The sash also bears the emblem of the society richly embroidered in gold. The new regalia will be worn for the first time in the procession on Monday next.
