CRICKET.

ADDINGTON CRICKET CLUB. Bast night the final meeting of the Addington Cricket Club for the year 1881 and 1882 was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Montreal street. Mr B. H. Turner occupied the chair. After a few remarks from the chairman, the secretary, Mr W. T. Busby, read tto report of the proceedings of the olub for the past Benson. The report showed a balance in band of £25, after defraying all expenses. Presentations were then made of bats. Mr R. H. Turner received the prize for batting averages, and Mr D. E. Turner for the bowling average. A presentation was made to the captain, Mr J, Hopper, of a beautiful smoking companion for the zealous way in which he had aided the olub. Refreshments followed, and a pleasant evening was passed. The olub has been very successful, having played twelve matches and won nice. The averages are attached ;
