[BET/TEB'S TEIiEGBAMS.j MELBOURNE, March 29. A Promising Colonist. Bryant, tho informant of the "Age," regarding the alleged Russian designs on the colonies, has been identified as a French refugee from New Caledonia. His real name is De Beaumont, and he was recently discharged from Pentridge gaol.

Arrived —Yesterday afternoon, P. and 0. Company's steamship Indus, in King George's Sound, with the inward mails, dated London, February 24th.
PERTH, March 29.
The Weather.
A most destructive hurricane has been experienced along the western coast of this colony, but more particularly in the north-west. The wind blew with great force, and has completely destroyed the town of Roebourne, the site of the pearl fishery, and Port Cossack, situated eight miles off. All tho houses and buildings in both places have been levelled to the ground, and three deaths have resulted from the disaster.
