THE EXHIBITION.

The representative of Dr. Hector has arrived by the Te Anau, bringing with him certain exhibits from the geological department at Wellington, comprising rockp, fossils, and other geological specimens, which will be arranged in a bay sat apart for that purpose. Other exhibits, consisting of geologioal maps, &a , will also arrive shortly, and be hung on the walls of the space already indicated. The Publio Works Department have forwarded an exhibit comprising every specimen of carriage, truck, &c., used on the New Zealand Railway*. The«e will be located in the open. The great trarsapt is being rapidly proceeded with, the work of roofing, walls, flooring and pain'.ing being carried on simultaneously.
