At the inquest on the body of Rodgers, who was found dead in his house, the verdict was “ Death from natural causes.” The University Question Revived. A deputation waited on the Attorney-General and Sir George O’Eorke in reference to the establishment of a University College in Auckland. Mr Whitaker said he was not favorably impressed with the prej eot; but would consider the matter fully at the sittings of the University Senate. A committee was appointed to consider the advisability of prescribing a medical curriculum in connection with the New Zealand University. Harbour Loan. The Harbor Board decided to raise a loan of .£150.000. Native Intelligent. The Thermal Springs. At the sale of Eotorua township the average increase on the upset price of allotments was nearly 50 per cent.; in some cases it was 100 per cent.
