The Bifle meeting was finished to-day. The weather was unsettled, but did not interfere with the shooting. The Carbine Company’s Challenge Match was won by the Wellington Navals with 407 ; Alexandra Cavalry, 397 ; Wellington Artillery, 324; Taranaki Mounted Bifles, 323. The Bifle Company’s Challenge Match— Wanganui City Bifles, 380 ; Waimea Bifles, 361; Wanganui Bifles, 343 j Taranaki Bifles, 338; Nelson City Bifles, 338 ; Blenheim Bifles, 325 ; Spring Creek Bifles, 324. The match North v South was won by the former with 305 against the latter’s 241, Purnell, of Wanganui, takes the belt with a score of 38.

The Carbine Match, North v South, could not be fired, owing to the absence of the Southern team. The Northern team, however, fired for a cup, which resulted in McKenzie, of the Wellington Artillery, winning it with a fine score of 43 out of 50. Perry, of Wanganui, was second with 40. This closed the meeting, and nearly all the representives have left the camp. Webster, of the Thames, is the winner of the National Bifie Association’s medal for the greatest number of bits during the meeting, he not having missed a shot. The Carbine Company’s Challenge Match is finished.
