[eehtee’s TELEGRAMS.] MELBOURNE, January 30. Vexatious Interference. The cases against the men recently arrested on the Geelong racecourse for using tho totalisator have been dismissed. The Heat. Owing to tho extreme heat which is now prevailing destructive hash fires have occurred in various parts of tho colony. Considerable loss of property has been occasioned. An Earthquake. A severe shock of earthquake was felt to-day at Jamieson township, in Upper Gonlbourne district.
