The Deceased Wife's Sister's Question. The Presbyterian Synod debated at length last night the question of marriage with a deceased wifo's sister. Ultimately the motion was carried, by a majority of six, for referring the question to the Presbyteries and Kirk Sessions, with a view of dealing with it next year. The Massey Libel Casein the Supreme Court, Massey v Allen, for libel, in which the Town Olerk claims £2500 damages, is now being heard.
