CHBISTOHTTBGH. Thursday, Jahtjaby 12. [Before B. Westenra and J. P. Jameson, Ejqs., J.P.'s.] Civil Oases.—Fuhrmann v Lewis, claim £7 6s 2d for goods supplied. Defendant disputed the reoeipt of certain articles charged for in the account, and plaintiff not bein£ prepared to prove their delivery, the case was adjourned till January 18th, plaintiff to pay costs.—Angell v Bodgers. This was a claim for £l7, the value and damages from the lots of cervices of a horse killed in a collision with a cart driven by defendant opposite Victoria Market on the evening of December 24th last. The evidenoe was a repetition of that given in a prosecution by the police, reported above. Mr Holmes appeared for plaintiff. Mr Joyce for defendant. Considerable difference of opinion was shown as to the value of the horse, defendant's witnesses valuing him only at £6 to £7. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £l2, with costs of Court, expenses of one witness 3s, and solicitor's fee £2 2s.—Sullivan v Osborne, £2 10s for rent. Judgment for plaintiff with costs.—Delamain and Co. T* Auleebrook, £l4. This was a claim for the hire of one four-in-hand and three other traps, lent for the purpose of a Sabbath-school picnic. Defendant had paid £l2 into Court. Plaintiff stated he had agreed to supply defendant, and Mr Manhire, who for convenience was not sued, with the vehicles to carry sixty persons for £l2. This would be without drivers. Subsequently they required plaintiff to supply drivers, who were accordingly sent. Defendant and a witness denied that they had undertaken any liability as to drivers, but after hearing evidenoe the Bench gave judgment for the plaintiff for the full amount claimed with costs.—Judgments went by default for plaintiffs with costs in Mason, Struthers and Oct. v Burnell, £ll 8s 5d ; Cooper v Latham, £l6 3s; and Shannon v Weston, £7 17s. Armitage v O'Brien and Delamain and Co. v Ward were adjourned till January 18th.
