[eeutee's telegrams.] SYDNEY, January 13. Shipping. Arrived, last evening—Union Company's s.s. Wakatipu, from Wellington. Political. Sir John Robertson, who was recently appointed Minister of Lands, and who acts as Colonial Secretary in the absence of Sir Henry Parfces, has been returned unopposed for Mudgeo, where ho was yesterday received with great enthusiasm. The vacancy in the representation of the electorato was caused by the appointment of Mr S. H. Terry to the Legislative Council. The Russian War Ships.
