[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] MELBOURNE, January 9. The Garonne Smallpox Caaes. There are now six cases of smallpox among the Garonne’s passengers. One case has reached what is known as a semi-confluent stage. It is regarded as serious, and likely to end fatally. Sugar Advanced. A private telegram from Mauritius reports that the prices for sugar have advanced 20s per ton all round.
