CRICKET.

PHOENIX v WANDERERS. This match, which was commenced on Monday, concluded yesterday, and throughout, the heaviest scoring that ha* occurred this season took place. This is to bo accounted for by tho extreme weakness of the bowling on both Bides. On the stumps being drawn on Monday it will be remembered that the Wanderers had made 345 for the lose of seven wickets. Tho remaining three wickets pulled the total up to 419, H. H. Longhnan contributing 42. On the Phoenix taking the wickets matters at once began to be rather lively. Davenport played well for his 54, but he is hardly so free as some of the team. Spring and Yernon put together their 27 and 65 in very pretty style, and Haskell did some decidedly tall hitting during hi* 42. When stumps were struck there were six wickets down for 261, so that the match was loft a drawn one in favor of neither side. When six wickets of the Wanderers were down the score stood at 299, remarkably close in *uch heavy figuring to the 281 of the Phoenix. Tho following is the score :
