The Supreme Court criminal sessions opened this morning. The Sports. The Caledonian gathering was attended by fully 121,000, the largest attendance yet had, Linduay, the Victorian pedestrian, carried off the principal foot races as 'pleased. Burke won the steeplechase. A Reported Business Failure. On dit that a large tannery firm has called a meeting os creditors. Liabilities heavy. Fire-Arina-roomed house in Duncan street wn burned down on Sunday. It was insured in the Standard for £3OO.
