[beuteb’s telegrams. - ] ADELAIDE, January 3. Importation of Smallpox. Arrived last evening, Orient Company’s steamship Garonne, from London via tho Capo. She has two cases of smallpox on board, and has consequently boon placed in quarantine. MELBOURNE, January 3. Cricket. It has been arranged that the cricket match between the English and Australian Elevens shall bo played out, and the departure of tho Union Company’s steamship Arawata has boon postponed, in order that the English cricketers may proceed by her to New Zealand.
