Official declaration of the poll for Rangitikei —Stevens, 487 ; Fox, 485. Mr Stevens was declared elected. DUNEDIN, December 14. The Otago Runs. Mr Pyke has convened a meeting of the Otago members to consider the run question. The numbers of the Dunstan polling were —Pyke, 530 ; Fraser, 482. Gold Escort. The escort brought down £20,000 worth of gold last night. Suicide. William Edwards, a blacksmith, committed suicide at Clinton last night by hanging. He had been in low spirits for some time.
