In the city cabs were flying about as usual, being lent or bought. The Suspected BurglarThe Police Court was occupied all day with, the case of Plummer, for sending a threatening letter to Dr, Philaon demanding £238. Plummer conducted his own case with great skill. Fire. John Matthews’ rope factory was burnt down last night. There was no insurance.
