[retjteb : s telegrams.] LONDON, December 5 The Governorship of Hatal.

It is officially announced that the appointment of Mr W. J. Sendall to the Lieut-Governorship of Natal has been cancelled by the Government, who thus accede to the wishes of the Natal colonists. It is further announced that in providing a successor to Sir Evelyn Wood, the Government will appoint a full Governor of the colony instead of a Lieutenant-Governor, as in the past, thus still further meeting the views of the colonists, as recently expressed. Sir Garnet WolselyAn official statement has been published to the effect that Sir Garnet Wolsely, at present Quartermaster-General, will, in April next, succeed General Sir C. H. Ellice as Adjutant-General of the forces.
