At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. WELLINGTON', Deoember 2. A Timber King. A meeting of saw millers has been held to endeavor to form an association for their mutual benefit. The unanimous opinion of the meeting was that the price of timber in Wellington should be raised. Hesitating. The silver cup, value £2l, for the largest prizetaker in Lincoln*, by the New Zealand and Australian Land Company; best merino ram, silver medal, Murray, Roberts and Oo.; best merino ewe, Murray, Roberts and Co., silver medal; silver medal for the best Leioester ram, Messrs McKercher Bros.; best ewe, Messrs H. B. and J. E. Parker, silver medal; best Linooln ram, New Zealand and Australian Land Company ; best owe, New Zealand and Australian Land Company. Mr John Beid was the largest prizetaker and principal exhibitor in Bomney Marsh. The silver medal for the best shorthorn bull was taken by Mr Shand's Oxford Wildeyes ; silver medal for oow or heifer, Mr Menlove's Flower of Brunswick; silver medal Ayrshire, Mr W. Cowan's Champion ; medal for oow, Messrs A. and J. Macfarlane.
