Mails close at «je Chief Post Offioe for the following places (subject to the necessary alterayoM) SATUBDAY, NOVEMBER 26. For Northern Port 3, per Hawea, at 7.30 p.m. The guard's van must not be used for this mail. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch •on Saturday, December 3rd, and will bo due in London on January 17th. Notice.—On and after Nov. 1, 1881, money orders will bo issued in Now Zealand payable at cny town in Germany, and" after lat Jannary next Money Ordera will be issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America. Postage stamps may now be used for stamping receipts under the Stamp Act, 1875, but receipt stamps are not accepted in paymont of postages. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
