MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19. For Northern Ports, per Alhambra, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21. For Kaikonra, per Tni, at 3.20 p.m. ; late feeletters, 3.30 a.m. ; guard’s van, 4 p.m. train. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Brindisi (for specially addressed correspondence only), Point de Galle, India, China, Japan, and the East, Aden, Mauritius, Suez, the Mediteranoan Ports, Australian Colonies and Otago, per Rotomahana, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Wanaka, at 1.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 2 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mail for the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, will be closed at Christchurch on Saturday, December 3rd, and will bo due in London on January 17th. Notice. —On and after Nov. 1, 1831, money orders will bo issued in Now Zealand payable at any town in Germany, and after Ist January next Money Orders will be issued in New Zealand payable in the United States of America.
