The tomb of Dean Stanley is in one of the recesses of the bay windows of Henry VII. Ohapel in Westminster Abbey. His wife lies buried there, a slab in the floor marking the spot. The Dean a number of years ago published the best book on the Abbey ever written, with a ghostly but very interesting account of explorations in the vaults where the sovereigns of England from Elizabeth to the Georges were entombed.
