SALE OF PURE BRED STOCK.
Messrs R. Wilkin and Co. submitted the pure bred Brittany cattle, imported from Victoria to the order of the late Mr W. S. Moorhouie, to publio competition this morning, at the A. and P. Show Groundo. The lot oomprieed one bull, four oows, two heifers, and one bull oalf. The attendance was very limited. They were placed as under : —Bull, Mr James Wilkin, s*B; 1 cow (Daphne), Mr James Wilkin, 20gB j 1 oow and bull caif, Mr R. Wilkin, 14? b 5 1 cow, springing to oalve, Mr R. Wilkin, llgs ; 1 oow, Mr R Wilkin, 10*8 ; 2 heifers, J. T. Matson, Bgs each, 16gs. Mr Tabart also offered some fine Lincoln rams and six Lincoln ewes with lambs at foot, on account of Mr P. Sutton, of Southland, but no bids resulting, they were pane J. The same ! remarks also apply to fifteen magnificent rams I belonging to Mr G. G. Russell.
