Larceny. At the Police Court this morning, a young man named Matthew Kane was charged with the larceny of a watch, a chain, and locket, value 16 guineas, the property of Archibald Maclntyre, a wool sorter. Prosecutor and accused slept at the same boarding house at Ashburton on Saturday night, and on Sunday the property was missing from Maclntyre’s room. Accused was committed for trial.
