CAMBRIDGE JOCKEY CLUB RACES. [PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] AUCKLAND, September 22. Thera was a large attendance at the Cambridge raceo to day. The following are the events: — Handicap Hurdle Hacb—Two started. Sportsman and Harkaway, who kept together to the seventh hurdle, where Harkaway ran off the course, leaving Sportsman an easy winner. Maiden Steeplechase Bandit and Tommy Dodd fell at the second hurdle. Loafer and Harkaway raced for it, Harkaway winning easily by a length. Cambridge Spring Cup—Won easily by & rank outsider, Mr Stanley's Grand Duchess, second. Cambridge Steeplechase. Dariok baulked after going once round. There was an exciting race between Harkaway and Sportsman, but both horses left out the last jump, and although Sportsman won easily, they had to go back and jump the last hurdle when Harkaway won by half a length.
