[eeuteb’s telegrams.] SYDNEY, September 20. Will He Get It? Mr Skuthorpe has written to Sir Henry Parkes, the Premier, demanding £6OOO for the relics of the Leichardt expedition. Smallpox. Smallpox continues to prevail in the city, and some fresh cases have been reported to the Health Board. At the same time, it is currently reported that several cases exist in private residences, but that secrecy is being observed regarding them. BRISBANE, September 20. The Late Fire. The insurances on the recent fire at Townsville include £1625 in the South British Company, half being re-insured in the Standard; £4OO in the New Zealand Company, half being re-insured in the South British; and £SOO each with the Colonial and New Zealand Companies. MELBOURNE, September 20. The Late Railway Accident. It is understood that £35,000 will be required to pay liabilities arising out of the late railway accident at Jolimont. £SOO Reward. The Bank of Victoria offer £SOO reward for the discovery of the robber of the missing notes.
