I OHRISTCHUROH. Wednesday, Septbmbbb 14. [Before J. Nugent Wood, Esq., R.M.j Dbottkbnmbss.—For a first offence a man was fined Is, |or six hours' imprisonment. James Donaldson was fined ss, or twentyfour hours' imprisonment. Burhham School Ohiij>bbn.—A oase called on against H. Bermingham, who was required to contribute to the support of his four children; but the police stating that he had been sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment at Wellington, the information was withdrawn.—Giles Shepherd was ordered to pay 5s weekly, in liquidation of arrears for maintenance of his two children at the institution.—Thomas Coleman, also in arrears as regards his four children, was ordered to pay up in a month, or oome up for judgment.— A similar case against H. Lewis, whose two children are at the school, was adjourned till Soptember 28th. Disobeying Ordbbs.—Neil MoPhee, who is in arrears £7 in maintenance money for his wife, from whom he is separated, was ordered to_ pay up in fourteen days, or to be imprisoned for one month in her Majesty's gaol at Addington.—A similar case against Joseph Oummings was adjourned for fourteen days.
