The cargo of frozen meat ex steamship | Cuzco was-sold to-day. The beef realised from 4d to 5Jd per lb, and mutton from s'd to sjd per lb: The condition of the meat was not equal to that of the mutton brought by the- Protos. The meat market at the present time is flat. ALEXANDRIA,. September 9. Rebellious TroopsSerious disturbances occurred to-day at Cairo. A large body of Egyptian troops, with 1 their officers, assembled before the palace of the Khedive, and demanded that an assembly of notables should be called together, and 'the present Ministers dismissed. The Khedive, after consideration of the demand, caused the troops to bo informed that he would grant the request for the dismissal of the Ministers, and the officers and their men then dispersed. NEW YORK, September 9. Serious Fifes. Owing to the continued dry weather, serious forest fires have occurred in the State of Michigan. Hundreds of farms have been destroyed by the conflagration, and over 200 deaths have resulted therefrom. The destruction of property has been enormous, and thousands are rendered homeless.
