CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, September 7. [Before G. L. Mellish, R M., and J. E. Parker, J.P.] Drunkenness. —Mary Ann Greaves, for being found drunk, was fined 10s. Annie Wharton and John Meddling were charged with being drunk and being illegally on the promises of the Congregational Church on Tuesday night. They pleaded guilty. Wharton was fined 10s, and ordered to be looked up for forty-eight hours. Meddling was ordered to bo looked up for forty-eight hours.

Larceny.—Mary Thompson was charged with stealing a jug, valued at 2s 6d, the property of J. Dann. On the application of the police she was remanded till the 9th inst. Burnham School Children. —Jas, John Dowoy, being in arrears for the support of his two children, his case was adjourned till September 28th, to give him a chance to pay up. Shepherd Giles, who owes £5 5s for his son’s maintenance, was ordered to pay £1 within a week, balance to follow as might be directed. Oitil Oases. —In Willmer v Buchanan, a claim for £4 for damages done to land by letting water on to it to relievo other flooded property, plaintiff was nonsuited, with costs. —Judgments went by default for plaintiffs in Millet and Griffiths v Evans, £l7 ; Moir and 00, v Allen, £6 5s ; Symcs v Withell, £3 16a Id; Caulfield v Withell, £3 14s 3d; Leaver v Wearing, £5 ; McSwigan Bros, v Harrington, 15s 6d j and Carter v Hansen, £l3 16s 6d. —Fisher y Muff and Martin y Thompson were adjourned till Sept. 14th,
