The Customs duties collected at Christchurch on Friday, September 2nd, were as follows : Spirits, .£275 la 4d; tobacco, 1-151 17s 6d ; wine, £3O 4s ; beer, £3 10s 6d ; sugar, £IOO 9a 7d; tea, £74 16s 6d ; goods by weight, £214 0s 5d ; ad valorem, £169 4s ; other duties, £221 6s 61. Total, £1242 10s 4d. At the usual sitting of the Waste Lands Board, held at Christchurch on Thursday, September Ist, sales were made as follows; Ordinary : Ashburton, 3a Ir 35p. Total cash received, £6 18s 9d. Refunds on account ef former purchases were made in the amount of £4 14s.
