In the Legislative Assembly last night, the debate on Mr Copeland's motion censuring the Government for the manner in which the quarantine regulations have been enforced was resumed, but, after discussion, was negatived on a division by 63 votes to 11. The latest bulletin from the quarantine station stated that Clement Lindsay, one of the patients confined on board the hospital ship Faraway, died last night. All the rest on board are doing well. In the infected enclosure Ellen Lindsay and Ally Trevoe are delirious: the others are progressing favorably. Meat Preserving. A new meat preserver with conserve salt was tried at Grafton to-day with great success. It is stated that this method will probably come into general nse. Wheat. At auction to-day, best lines of wheat realised from Ss 7£d to 5s lid per bushel.
