[ekuteb ? s telegrams.] SYDNEY, August 22 Frfsh Cases of Smallpox.
Seven fresh cases of smallpox have been reported to the Board of Health. The sufferers are—a child named Ryder, at Waterloo, whoso case has since proved fatal; a man named Emerson and a boy named Buford, residing in Sussex street ; a man named McCallum, residing in Macquarrie street; a man named Oxenham, of Redfern ; a man named Johnson, of Moore Park ; and a man named Fitzpatrick. The last-mentioned called at the Infirmary for medical advice, when it was discovered that he was suffering from smallpox. He and all the other sufferers have been remeved to the Quarantine Station, and their varioug residences isolated.
