MELBOURNE, August 16. Shipping. Sailed, yesterday afternoon Union Company’s s.s. Rotorua for the Bluff. Collision at SeaA private telegram from London reports that a collision has occurred between the barque Clodian, bound from Melbourne to Liverpool with wheat, and the barque Yarmouth. The former vessel sunk, and has become a total loss. BRISBANE, August 16. The Squadron. Tho detached squadron was sighted off Strabrooke Island yesterday morning, and is expected to anchor in the river at 1 p.m. to-day. , Seriously 111. The Right Rev. G. H. Stanton, Bishop of Northern Queensland, is seriously ill, and is not expected to recover.
