Consols have advanced to 1001-, The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £13,000,000. Adelaide and Australian broadstuffs and Australian tallow ate without quotable change. There is a fair demand for most descrip, tions of Australian hides. August 12. The Irish land BillIn the House of Commons last night, the report on the amendments made by tho House of Lords in tho Irish Land Bill was again under consideration. A long and animated debate took place on tho amended clauses, several of which were rejected as altered, while the amendments to others were agreed to. Some violent speeches were made in the course of tho discussion by tho Irish members, who accused the Government of acting with treachery, and with pandering to tho wishes of the House of Lords. The debate lasted till four o’clock this morning, when the consideration of tho amendments was finally concluded, and the Bill was returned to the House of Lords.
