[eeutee’s telegrams.] MELBOURNE, August 9, The Suez Mail. The Peninsular and Oriental Company’s steamship Kaiserihend, with the Suez mails, which left London on July Ist, arrived here yesterday morning. BRISBANE, August 9. Libel. In the libel action, brought by Mr Cook, journalist, against the proprietors of the “ Evangelical Standard,” in which damages were laid at £IOOO, a verdict has been returned for defendants.
