Tlie Squadron. - The exact date of the departure of the detached squadron for Auckland is now rendered uncertain, owing to the serious illness of Admiral the Right Hon. the Earl of Clanwilliam, who was to-day attacked with severe fainting fits. His Lordship has since recovered consciousness. BRISBANE, July 22. SmallpoxThe doctors have decided to-day that the malady from which three children in South Brisbane are suffering is small-pox, and the authorities have therefore considered it advisable to place them in quarantine. Every possible precaution is being taken to prevent tbo spread of the disease.
