[reuteivi telegrams.] MELBOURNE, July 12. Shipping'. The P. and O. Company's steamship Venetia arrived here this morning with the inward Suez mails, dated London 3 3rd June. The Rotorua sailed for the Bluff this afternoon with the New Zealand portion of the English mails. H.Z. Oats. New Zealand oats are quoted to-day at 3s 6d. Smallpox. In consequence of the increase of small-pox in Sydney, the Yictorian Government is considering the advisability of taking further precautions to guard against the introduction of the disease into this colony. MELBOURNE, July 12. Parliamentary. Parliament reassembled to-day after the adjournment. At the sitting in the Legislative Assembly there were only two members on the Government benches behind the new Ministers; the rest of the House was made np of members of the Opposition and the corner party. No business was transacted, and the House adjourned to the 28th inst., to give time for the Ministerial re-election. SYDNEY, Jnly 12. SmallpoxAnother case of small-pox has been reported to the Board of Health to-day. The sufferer Templeton lives with her parents in Pyrmont, one of th« suburbs adjoining the city. The family has been placed in quarantine.
