A fresh case was reported yesterday, the person attacked being a woman in the suburb of Ultimo. There are now twelve infected houses in the city and suburbs. A Smallpox Board has been appointed to devise fresh means for preventing the spread of the disease, and a special quarantine station is now in course of construction at a bay in Port Jackson, whore all smallpox patients will be sent. BRISBANE, July 12. FireA fire broke out last night on premises in Queen street, opposite tho Theatre. It was speedily extinguished, but not before some damage was done. The insurances include policies in the following New Zealand amongst other offices : —New Zealand Company, £530; South British Company, £260.
