The barque Bells, of this port, went on the slip at Newcastle for an overhaul, and was expected to come off on 25th or 26th nit. She would probably leave there for here about the Ist or2ndinst. _ , , Yesterday just before the s.s. Wakatn received her clearance at the Customs for Patea, the harbormaster observed that she had filled the only boats she carries with furniture. Ho reported the matter to the Customs, and the authorities there refused the clearance until the boats wore relieved of their contents.
