[EBETEE’S TELEGEAMS.] MELBOURNE, July 6. Resignation of the Ministry. Mr Berry tendered the resignations of himself and his colleagues to the Governor this morning. It is probable that Sir Bryan O’Lougblen will be summoned by bis Excellency to form a new Ministry, but it is considered doubtful that be will succeed in doing so. SYDNEY, July 6. The Address in ReplyIn both Houses of Parliament last evening the address in reply to the Governor’s opening speech was carried without divisions. Smallpox. The Chinaman who carried the smallpox from a countryman who was attacked at Waterloo, has boon found to bo suffering from tho disease at Drinttown, and has been removed to the quarantine station. BRISBANE, Jnly 6. Opening of ParliamentThe Queesland Parliament has boon opened by tho Governor. His Excellency, In his speech on tho occasion, announced that the Government bad failed to come to any agreement with the English company for a construction of tho transcontinental railway, but it was hoped tho Government would bo able to introduce a Bill for tho purpose during tho session. Measures would also bo introduced to give effect to the recommendation of the Intercolonial Conference. Tho report of the Stool Rails Commission would be laid on the tablo,and would bo found to decisively and comprehensively absolve tho Premier from the charges made against him.
