The Queensland revenue returns for the quarter ended June 30th, show the total receipts for the period to be £570,000, being an increase of £160,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The increase for the year is £288,000. The receipts for Customs have increased during the quarter by £16,000; from stamps, £3000; from land sales, £112,000; from railways, £11,000; and from the Post-office, £IOOO. The revenue from miscellaneous sources also shows an increase of £9OOO. The principal decrease during the period is in revenue from public works, and amounts to £15,000.
