Graham Berry had with the Governor On Saturday he presented a memorandum asking for a dissolution of Parliament. It is, hewever, believed that his Excellency will decline to accede to the request. The Agencgy-General. It has transpired that the Government have offered the Agent-Generalship in London to Mr C. H. Pearson, the member for Castlemaine. Mr Pearson has, however, declined to accept the post. SYDNET, July 4, ShippingSailed —On Saturday afternoon, Wakatipu, for Wellington. BRISBANE, July 4. The Revenue. The Queensland revenue returns for the quarter ended June 30th, show the total receipts for the period to be £570,000, being an increase of £160,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The increase for the year is £288,000. The receipts for Customs have increased during the quarter by £16,000; from stamps, £3000; from land sales, £112,000; from railways, £11,000; and from the Post-office, £IOOO. The revenue from miscellaneous sources also shows an increase of £9OOO. The principal decrease during the period is in revenue from public works, and amounts to £15,000.
